What do standing up in the crib, screaming, teething 6 teeth at a time, and 3:50 am have in commun? COLBY. So what does a mam need. COFFEE!
So the last month and a half have been very fun don't get me wrong. Colby has learned so much, crawling, more babbling, a couple of signs, climbing and playing with grown ups and little friends as well. He's eating more and more regular food which is fun as well. It's so exciting to watch your little one grow and learn. I am so pround of my little man. He brings us so much joy. He's a funny little character that Colby. He loves to watch other bigger kids play. no matter how tired he is he loves to watch.
So here is the flip side of all those great development steps. Sleep distruptions. He has been an early riser for about 3 months no. This I have come to peace with. 5:30 or 6 am is ok. But now that I have become adjusted to this new morning time it keeps getting earlier and earlier. Last night it was 3:50 am. So early. I gave him ibuprophen, rocked him, gave him a bottle and usually a new diaper and finally after 2 hours he fell back asleep at 6 am. (which usually he does not do, usually he is up for the day.) He was so tiered but he couldn't fall back asleep. Now i have tried to just leave him but he stands up on the railing and gets more aggitated, so I go in, lay him down and he usually will cry some more.
Anyways, this is making the days really long for us all. Any advice anyone? I know this too shall pass, and it's probably just a stage with his new found mobility, just wanted so nice feedback on what worked for you guys, Much appreciated.

Have you tried Hyland's Teething Tablets? I think they are the best thing ever for teething! Seriously, NOTHING else worked for my kids, but they both slept well with the Teething Tablets. You can usually find them at health food stores.
The other thing that I got for Bria is an Amber Teething Necklace. Aparently amber has special properties that reduce inflamation or something. Plus they're cute!
oh you poor thing. You must be exhausted. It's a good thing we love them and they're cute, huh?
I think you're doing a great job as a mommy. You're a good one. And one day you can make Colby vaccuum the house and do the dishes for you to make up for it. :) Just kidding.
Just yesterday I was reading online about this very problem. I think it was on the babywise mom blog...or maybe somewhere else....but I'll try and find it. I think the basics were that if he can get himself down eventually, you could (if you feel right about it) leave him and he will figure it out...or you can just keep going in and laying him back down (like you are doing) and he will soon learn how to get back down on his own. Once he knows how to get down himself, you could probably leave him and let him tire himself out. But it's all about what you think is best :)
