A tribute to my cat formerly known as Sam.

Well, The last couple months have flown by and so much has happened. I got to go on Maternity leave from my job in september. We had our first child, a son, at the end of september, Colby. So pretty much from there on it's a blur and now Christmas is here. We unfortunatly had to get rid of our dear cat Sam. He was our siamese cat that loved attention and loved to talk. So when the baby came around he lasted about a month but then started to feel left out. Don't get me wrong he never did anything to the baby or anything like that but he started using the whole basement as his litter box rather than the litter box itself. He would also wake the baby us from his naps with his lovely loud voice too. He simply had to go. He was a pretty high maintenance cat. Loved him very much and wanted to post a picture as a memory to him.
We dropped him off and hopes that someone will adopt him from the SPCA, so that he doesn't have to get put down. On another note did you know they give you a number as your "case" file number and you can find out if he has been adopted or been put down. I think that is awful. It ruins the dream that we tell ourselves that he has been adopted. I don't intend on looking that up. I like to give my self a sense of false security and say he is with another family.
Now I am rambling.
Anyways here's to all the funny and nice things you did Sam as a cat
- when you got stuck inside my dresser and could not get out.
- flushed and fell into the toilet and the lid fell on you.
- When that van almost slammed into the side of the car on the highway when you were in your kennel and you landed on your head when we swerved out of the way.
- After you got neutered and were on some pretty heavy pain killers you fell off the couch.
- How you would get stuck around a tree when you were on a leash outside
- How you would greet me at the door when I got home and cuddle with me when I cried.

Here's to you Sam.
